The Rubber Ducky Cubaris is one of the most famous isopods in the world, named for its yellow face that looks like a little toy duck. It is a slow breeder that needs steady humidity and patience, so we recommend it for keepers who already have some experience.

Rubber Ducky care guide

• Keep humidity high (around 80%) but with good airflow to prevent stagnation.
• Use a deep, moist substrate with lots of decaying hardwood and leaf litter.
• Add sphagnum moss in a corner for moisture and shelter.
• Disturb the colony as little as possible. Check once a week and keep the box away from vibration and heat.
