About Orange Dalmatian
Orange Dalmatian is a colour line of Porcellio laevis with a snowy white body splashed with orange patches and fine speckles, giving it its Dalmatian look. Like its cousin the Dairy Cow, it grows large, moves fast and breeds quickly, so a colony is always busy and easy to watch.
Orange Dalmatian care guide
- Provide a dry area with good airflow, plus one moist side. Too much moisture everywhere leads to losses.
- Offer protein every week (fish flakes, dried shrimp). Without it they may nibble on each other.
- Give a big box: large, fast isopods need room to roam.
- Add cuttlebone or crushed eggshell for calcium. Warm Kerala temperatures suit them well.
